ADR TRANSPORT DOCUMENT

The ADR Transport Document is a mandatory document that must be carried on vehicles transporting dangerous goods under the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR). What is the Purpose of the ADR Transport Document?

The main purpose of the ADR Transport Document is to provide necessary information regarding the substances being carried on vehicles transporting dangerous goods, thereby:

  • Facilitating emergency response: In the event of an accident or leak, it helps response teams quickly and accurately identify the hazard and take the necessary precautions.

  • Improving transport safety: By ensuring that transported substances are correctly identified, classified, and labelled, it minimizes the risks that may occur during transport.

  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements: It helps those involved in the transport of dangerous goods in countries signatory to the ADR agreement to fulfill their legal obligations.
